One of my favourite tales from ancient mythology is that of Cupid and Psyche. The heroine literally goes to hell and back to prove that nothing can stand in the way of what she loves. It’s small wonder that the word “Psyche” literally means just that— our mind, our soul— and its journey.

I’m glad our real life stories don’t revolve around mythological extremes, but every now and then, circumstances test our mettle. And often, if they don’t break us down, we discover that we love what we do more deeply for it.

Working harder at something does not diminish our love for it. On the contrary, it reminds us of why we love it. Labouring tirelessly for what we believe in makes us more capable to master it.

And just like Psyche, the journey we take through the challenges— is the same that finds its perfection in that which we love ❤️
